| No 19 & 20/2016 30/07/16 12:30 – 15:00 ILB/ ALB Tasked by Aberdeen Coastguard to locate two persons in an inflatable dinghy thought to be in trouble. Both Lifeboats launched, ILB on scene first and started searching from Shell Bay, before liaising with St Andrews coastguard who directed the search to the west. Casualties were located 1 mile SE of Lower Largo where the casualties and equipment were transferred to ALB. |  Click on the map to enlarge it |
ALB steamed to Lower Largo but because of tidal restriction the casualties were transferred back to ILB to enter harbour.
Casualties put ashore safely to waiting Coastguard.
Both boats returned to Anstruther Harbour, where they were re-housed
