No 23 &24 20/08/16 16:09-18:30 ALB & ILB Both boats tasked by Aberdeen Coastguard to assist two persons on a yacht stranded on rocks off Cellardyke harbour. The ILB was first on scene, to assist the crew, who had made it to the rocks and reported themselves OK. Crew managed to attach a rope to the casualty vessel and tow it out from between the rocks. With ALB standing by in case of need, the vessel was towed into Cellardyke harbour and made safe. The crew of two were safe and grateful. They reported that their engine had failed just as they left the harbour. |

Lifeboats were released when all the casualties were safe.
