Both Lifeboats launched and proceeded to the search area, searching along the coast at ¼ & 1 mile off. Nothing found after thorough search of the given area and both boats stood down. No. 31 & 32 16 October 2016: 11:21 – 12:30 ALB ILB Requested by Aberdeen Coastguard for boat lifeboats to search the shore line and sea area off Pittenweem golf course following the sighting of a life-ring.
Search conducted nothing found, both boats stood down and returned to Anstruther to rehouse. Weather – Part cloudy Visibility - Good Wind – Mod breeze 225 Sea state – Rough No 25/2016
06/09/16, 09:15 – 11:00 ALB ALB tasked by Aberdeen Coastguard to locate an object in the water off the Isle of May. ALB launched recovered and returned the object to the Police waiting at Anstruther harbour. Because of tidal restrictions the ALB was berthed at Pittenweem until the re-house at 17:30. Weather – Part cloudy Visibility - Good Wind – light airs 270 Sea state – calm |
