Assistance to fishing vessel

ILB & ALB
Request from HMCG to locate and assist 36' Fishing Vessel with engine problems drifting with 3 persons onboard.
ALB located the casualty and towed it to Pittenweem Harbour where it was safely berthed. ILB launched to assist the ALB and casualty vessel entering the harbour.
 
ILB returned to rehouse.

HMCG request Launch to assist a 38 foot yacht with fouled propeller and drifting in gale force conditions 1 mile off East Wemyss.
ALB launched, (with wind in excess of 40mph) located the casualty with Kinghorn Lifeboat close by also tug 'Sovereign' and fishing vessel 'Rebecca Janeen' standing by. Tow was established with the casualty vessel and following comms with Forth Ports coxswain agreed to tow casualty to Methil Docks (4.5miles away)
Kinghorn assisted the ALB with tow whilst entering Methil dock where Casualty was safely berthed inside No1 dock
 
ALB supplied Kinghorn Lifeboat with refreshments before leaving the harbour with wind reaching gusts of Force 9-10. ALB escorted Kinghorn LB a short distance in a westerly direction as a safety precaution.
ALB returned to Pittenweem after Kinghorn crew notified they were happy to transit the last few miles on their own.  ALB rehousing in Anstruther at 0830hrs on 15/01/23
