Crew muster due to report of a yacht breaking adrift

Crew mustered to report of a pleasure yacht with nobody on board that had broken adrift of its mooring in Granton harbour, launch cancelled lifeboat was notified off service at the time.

Assistance to 5m sailing dinghy aground on rocks off Elie

ILB Request from HMCG to locate and assist two persons on a 5m sailing dinghy taking on water and aground on rocks off Elie.
ILB on scene first to assist the two persons initially, then with the ALB salvage pump recover the dinghy to the trailer on the slip.
 
Both boats returned to Anstruther and rehoused

Assistance to catamaran following fire onboard

Request by HMCG to RV and assist Windcraft 20 catamaran work boat following a fire in the port engine, (now contained) and making slow progress to harbour. Montrose lifeboat also launched to escort the casualty.
ALB stood down just before reaching the casualty and returned to station.

Assistance to paddleboarder being blown out to sea from Cambo Sands

Request to launch both boats to locate and assist a female paddleboarder being blown out to sea from Cambo Sands following multiple 999 calls.
ILB on scene first and managed to locate the casualty in the water alongside the paddle board.
R199 helicopter was stood down just as arriving on scene.
Casualty taken on board the ILB and transferred to the ALB for further assistance and the return to Anstruther for handover to the ambulance at Anstruther harbour.

Request to launch both boats to assist a yacht off the harbour with three persons on board and engine problems. ILB launched to take over the tow from a local creel boat that had been assisting the casualty vessel.
The ALB was stood down on the slip.
ILB berthed the casually vessel safely in Anstruther harbour then rehoused.

Assistance to 38 foot yacht with fouled propeller and drifting in gale force conditions 1 mile off East Wemyss.

HMCG request Launch to assist a 38 foot yacht with fouled propeller and drifting in gale force conditions 1 mile off East Wemyss.
ALB launched, (with wind in excess of 40mph) located the casualty with Kinghorn Lifeboat close by also tug 'Sovereign' and fishing vessel 'Rebecca Janeen' standing by. Tow was established with the casualty vessel and following comms with Forth Ports coxswain agreed to tow casualty to Methil Docks (4.5miles away)
Kinghorn assisted the ALB with tow whilst entering Methil dock where Casualty was safely berthed inside No1 dock
 
ALB supplied Kinghorn Lifeboat with refreshments before leaving the harbour with wind reaching gusts of Force 9-10. ALB escorted Kinghorn LB a short distance in a westerly direction as a safety precaution.
ALB returned to Pittenweem after Kinghorn crew notified they were happy to transit the last few miles on their own.  ALB rehousing in Anstruther at 0830hrs on 15/01/23
