Assistance with search following an EPIRB activation

Request by HMCG to assist with other assets to locate and assist at the location of an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) alarm approximately 1.5mile east of the Isle of May. All assets searched the location including helicopter R199.
Nothing found ALB returned to station at low tide crew recalled to rehouse later

Assistance to paddleboarder being blown out to sea from Cambo Sands

ILB & ALB

 
Request to launch both boats to locate and assist a female paddleboarder being blown out to sea from Cambo Sands following multiple 999 calls.
ILB on scene first and managed to locate the casualty in the water alongside the paddle board.
R199 helicopter was stood down just as arriving on scene.
Casualty taken on board the ILB and transferred to the ALB for further assistance and the return to Anstruther for handover to the ambulance at Anstruther harbour.
