10/07/21 14:40 – 19:35 ILB Request from Coastguard to provide medical evacuation of male casualty who had fallen on rock at the shoreline with rising tide. The casualty had a suspected broken ankle and was located on the rock close to the Lifeboat station. ILB quickly on scene and recovered the casualty with stretcher back to the Lifeboat slip and station. Medical assistance was administered by RNLI Casualty-Care trained crew at 15:15 whilst waiting for the ambulance. Both boats launched to location given as Lady's Tower Elie, area searched, nothing found, then location revised to chain walk. Casualty located and transferred by ILB to waiting ambulance at Shell Bay. Both boats stood down and returned to Anstruther. DATE -30/05/21 18:56 – 20:25 ILB Request from HMCG to launch ILB to report of female in distress in the water outside of Crail Harbour. The casualty had been pulled from the water by a harbour user and required immediate medical assistance. Ambulance requested but no ETA confirmed as SAS were extremely busy, CRT from St Andrews & Leven also tasked. ILB crew on scene to assist and provide emergency cas care. Four Lifeboat crew (with cas care training) travelled from the Lifeboat station by road with extra equipment to assist. Cas care given by RNLI & HMCG until ambulance attended.
