Rescue of injured lady on Chain Walk

Request from HMCG to launch ILB and assist an injured female with suspected fractured ankle having fallen at the Chain Walk near Elie.
 
ILB launched
 
Casualty located with Coastguard team on scene, the basket stretcher was transferred from Kinghorn Lifeboat also on scene and used to transferred the casualty from the Chain Walk to the Ambulance waiting at near by beach location.
 
ILB then assisted the Coastguard members and casualty partner to the safety of the beach location.
 
ILB retuned to station and rehoused

Assistance to two casualties fallen from Coastal Path between Pittenweem and St Monans

Request to launch both boats to report of two persons falling from the coastal path between Pittenweem & St Monans, ILB first on scene to find male & female on the rocks with serious injuries. One crewman was transferred from the ALB to assist ILB
The female was lifted by Coastguard helicopter to Edinburgh hospital and male transferred back up to awaiting Ambulance and Ninewells hospital. The lifeboats were stood down along with the other emergency services on scene. ALB was moored in Pittenweem and crew recalled to rehouse later

Rescue of personfollowing fall from Anstruther Harbour Pier

Assistance requested on report of a person falling from the Pier and hitting the pontoon then into the mud, stuck waist deep in water with rising tide within Anstruther harbour.
 
ILB crew and additional crew quickly on scene with two ILB crew with dry suits in the water to assist the casualty.
Casualty recovered from water and put into Basket stretcher in recovery position then immediately handed over to Ambulance crew

Request from HMCG to locate and assist two windsurfers reported to be in difficulty off Crail harbour.
Both boats launched in poor weather conditions.
ILB on scene as the casualties made land and were assisted by Coastguard teams on the rocks near to the harbour.
Lifeboats returned to Anstruther and rehoused, ALB moored up waiting for water to re-house.

Request for lifeboats to launch to report of two persons on an inflatable off Shell Bay and thought to be in danger.
 
Coastguard confirmed the casualties were safe while lifeboats were on-route, both boats stood down and returned to Anstruther and rehoused.

Assistance to man who had fallen on rocks at Anstruther Harbour

Request from Coastguard to provide medical evacuation of male casualty who had fallen on rock at the shoreline with rising tide.
The casualty had a suspected broken ankle and was located on the rock close to the Lifeboat station.
ILB quickly on scene and recovered the casualty with stretcher back to the Lifeboat slip and station.
Medical assistance was administered by RNLI Casualty-Care trained crew at 15:15 whilst waiting for the ambulance.

Both lifeboats requested to launch to report of a female casualty with a suspected broken ankle on an inaccessible part of the coastal path at Balcomie near Fife Ness.
 
ILB on scene first, the lifeboat crew then assisted the paramedics, obtaining the stretcher from the ALB, to transport the casually over land to the waiting ambulance,
 
ALB and crew stood by.

Assistance to lady injured on chainwalk

Request from Coastguard to locate and assist a person who had fallen into the water from the Chain walk near Elie, with a friend there in attendance.
 
Both boats launched, the ILB was on scene first and located the casualty with minor injuries, both were safely taken aboard the ILB and transferred to Elie harbour and there handed over to the waiting Scottish Ambulance .
 
The ALB escorted the ILB from the scene, both boats then returned to Anstruther. ALB rehoused later and crew recalled

Boy stuck on rock

ILB

Request from Coastguard to assist boy stranded on a rock and cut off by the tide, West of St Monans Harbour.

ILB launched and quickly on scene, one crew member climbed onto the rock to locate and help the casualty.

Wearing a survivor's lifejacket, the casualty was assisted into the ILB and returned safely at St Monan's Harbour to awaiting Coastguard and family.

ILB returned to Anstruther and rehoused. Coastguard notified ready for Service after lifeboat and station sanitised.
