Request from Aberdeen Coastguard to locate a swimmer requiring assistance off Lower Largo.
 
ILB launched and proceeding to the scene when stood down by HMCG west of Pittenweem, on report of casualty being safe.
 
Returned to Anstruther to rehouse

Request from Coastguard to provide medical evacuation of male casualty who had fallen on rock at the shoreline with rising tide.
The casualty had a suspected broken ankle and was located on the rock close to the Lifeboat station.
ILB quickly on scene and recovered the casualty with stretcher back to the Lifeboat slip and station.
Medical assistance was administered by RNLI Casualty-Care trained crew at 15:15 whilst waiting for the ambulance.
