Fishing Boat with Engine Failure Drifting Towards Rocks

ALB requested to launch by HMCG to assist a FV with engine failure drifting one mile from rocky shore with two persons on board.
 
ALB launched and located the casualty vessel, crew stayed on board while tow was arranged and safely taken into Pittenweem harbour.
 
ALB remained in Pittenweem because of tidal restrictions at Anstruther, crew recalled at 2015 to re-house the lifeboat.

Search for Missing Person

ALB and ILB 

Coastguard request to search for missing person between Anstruther and Pittenweem. Both boats launched and used searchlights to assist Police & Coastguard locate the casualty.
​
No further assistance required returned to Anstruther, crew recalled to re-house ALB at 08:30.

Assistance to Injured Visitor

Assistance requested from personnel in the adjacent Scottish Fisheries Museum where a person had fallen as a result of zimmer /wheelchair brake failure, resulting in the casualty hitting the floor with right shoulder.

Assistance given by RNLI Cas care crew members on station. 

The casualty was monitored and assisted back up to her wheelchair and then to leave with family in adjacent car.
