Alert to Flooding Vessel

Crew paged by HMCG to assist pumping a vessel out in Pittenweem harbour. 
Launch not authorised and crew remained at station until the situation was assessed by crew at Pittenweem. 
Information received confirmed that the Fire Service & HMCG had just left the harbour as the owner/skipper had managed to pump out the vessel himself.
 
Crew stood down by HMCG.

Rescue of 2 persons From Kayak

Request by Aberdeen Coastguard to locate yellow kayak off Crail golf course and Fife Ness on the Firth of Forth. First informant, a 999 caller had visual sighting. 
ALB on scene and able to locate the kayak a mile off shore, being blown out to sea and on the flood tide.
Casualties taken on board and given blankets, the Kayak was secured on deck for safe return to Anstruther harbour. 
Because of the high tide the crew were recalled to rehouse one and a quarter hours later.

Assistance to Motor Vessel

Returning from exercise at 13:15 the crew noticed that the 65 foot MV was lying broadside to the inner cut mouth but in the outer harbour. The MV was having difficulties manoeuvring in shallow water and after striking the pontoon there was a likelihood of damaging other vessels.
It was agreed with the LOM to offer assistance, he asked for a tow back to the inner harbour.
A tow was established and with all the safety precautions taken the casualty was successfully freed and able to berth under own power.
ALB rehoused.
