96 children benefitted from the RNLI Swimsafe campaign, held at Anstruther Lifeboat Station on Sunday 24 of July.
This provided water safety advice to an enthusiastic bunch of 7 - 14 year olds!
The main aim of the event was to reinforce the 'Float-to-live' technique, should they find themselves in difficulty at sea.
This included important advice such as:
Stop and think- always swim in a safe place
Stay together- always swim with an adult
Float- if you find yourself in trouble in the water, float on your bck like a starfish
Call 999 in an emergency and ask for the Coastguard
The attendees were rewarded with a special certificate to show their attendance at the session!
A big thank you from Anstruther RNLI goes out to the participants, parents and volunteers for a very successful day!
