“Kingdom of Fife” began service at Anstruther in 1991 after the boat house had been modified prior to its arrival. 29 years later it is still treasured by the volunteer crew and the town. But we may have to wait another 2 years before the Shannon arrives, because, once again, this boat will need a new home. The current “shed” cannot accommodate the Shannon’s tractor with its revolutionary launch and recovery trailer.
A new boathouse slipway is to be built on the west side of the outer harbour.
