Elie Chain Walk Rescue

ALB & ILB

Both lifeboats tasked to the Chain Walk near Elie, to search for a missing person.
ILB on scene first and liaised with Police and Coastguard at Shell Bay. SOC Detective taken by ILB to the casualty location.
The basket stretcher used by the crew to recover the casualty, who was then transferred to the ALB just off shore.
The casualty was brought to Pittenweem for off-loading to Police & Coastguard. 
No further assistance was required both boats returned to Anstruther for debrief.

11-year-old Boy in Sea

ILB tasked to assist a dog in the water off Elie, while the owner a 11 year old boy was at risk in the water trying to recover the dog.
 
ILB stood down on-route as dog returned to shore and no assistance was required.

Assistance to Kayaker

Launched to report of kayaker 1/4mile off the Isle of May in the Firth of Forth.
A local tourist ferry had assisted the casualty who had been sick and not feeling well.
ALB launched and located the casualty, one of three kayakers, being sick and unable to return to mainland.
Sea sick tablets were given and the casualty with kayak, safely returned to Anstruther. The other two kayaks were monitored while they made their own way back to Anstruther.
Casualty handed over to the Coastguard but no further assistance was required.
