Rescue of casualties cut off by tide at the Chainwalk

Request from HMCG to assist two persons cut off by the tide at the chain walk near Elie.
Both boats responded and arrived on scene, The ILB located the two casualties who were actually in the rising water and unable to climb the rocks.
The casualties were transferred to the ALB for safe passage to Elie harbour.
Both boats returned to Anstruther harbour and rehoused.

ALB tasked by HMCG to assist other agencies search for reported missing person between Cockenzie & Musselburgh on the Firth of Forth.
ALB travelling 19nm to conduct shore line search.
 
Nothing found, Lifeboat returned to Anstruther and shore crew recalled to assist rehousing

Request from HMCG to launch on report of upturned hull 120m off Prestopans on Firth of Forth.
ALB stood down on-route as the object was identified as a floating mattress.

Medical care given to climber who had fallen from rock face near Elie

Request from HMCG to locate and assist a climber who had fallen from a rock face near Elie
ILB launched and located the woman lying on the rocks having fallen about 5m. Two crew were put ashore to provide Casualty Care.
The casualty was assessed and given first aid to reduce the pain and life threatening bleed from the injuries to head & both legs.
Rescue 199 helicopter landed a few hundred meters away over difficult terrain and paramedics were able to assess the casualty before air lifting to Glasgow hospital.
ILB crew assisted the casualty’s partner safely to shore and their parked car, before returning to Anstruther and rehousing.
