ALB Launch for search of person reported missing after entering sea off Dysart Beach

Request from HMCG to launch ALB to assist in search and rescue of a person reported entering the sea off Dysart beach. Other inshore lifeboats had been tasked with ALB to assist in search and provide cover.
 
Lifeboat stood down and returned to Anstruther harbour on report of person safely recovered, crew recalled to rehouse later.

Search for missing person and safety cover for Kinghorn Lifeboat

Request to launch ALB to assist in search for missing person and, considering the weather conditions, give safety cover to Kinghorn Lifeboat conducting a close inshore search.
 
After several hours and safety reasons considering the sea conditions, Kinghorn was stood down.
 
The Coastguard Helicopter was tasked and subsequently diverted to another location.
 
The ALB continued searching in poor weather condition before also being stood down as nothing found and returned to berth at Pittenweem Harbour before rehousing at Anstruther the following morning.

Request to launch ALB to join a search for missing female swimmer off Granton near Edinburgh.
Other RNLI assets and Helicopter R151 also tasked to search.
 
ALB on scene and parallel search pattern completed as given by HMCG and nothing found.
ALB stood down at 20:27 and returned to Anstruther to rehouse.

Request from HMCG to locate and rescue if possible two persons cut off by the tide while climbing on rocks at Elie chain walk, Coastguard rescue team tasked to the top of the cliffs to try and locate the casualties.
ILB on scene, located the casualties and extracted them to the ILB, there were no injuries and casualties were transferred to the ALB also on scene to transport them to Coastguards at Elie harbour.
Both boats returned to Anstruther and rehoused

Request to recover two jet skis off Leven Beach

Request by HMCG to locate and retrieve two jet skis off Leven Beach, jet skis located off Lower Largo and towed to Elie harbour where the owners were waiting,
 
Leven lifeguards had managed to persuade the owner to come out of the water and travel to Elie to retrieve the jet skis.
 
No further assistance required the ALB returned to Anstruther to rehouse.

Request from HMCG to locate and assist two persons reported to be cut off by the tide at the Shell Bay area of the Elie chain walk.
Both boats launched, ILB located the casualty and with one crew ashore guided the casualties to the ILB.
Transferred to the ALB and handed over to Coastguard at Elie no further assistance required, both boats returned to Anstruther

Tasked by HMCG to report of a submerged vehicle on Leven Beach, unknown if persons were inside the vehicle.
Both boats launched to locate vehicle and check for occupants or debris at scene.
CRT & Police Scotland on scene, ILB located the vehicle and confirmed there were no occupants in the vehicle.
ALB stood down approaching the scene.
Police made aware and both boats stood down and returned to station to rehouse.

Request to launch both boats by HMCG to search St Andrews Bay area on report of blood stained clothing having been found at the waters edge.
 
ILB on scene and commenced search with ALB following up. Nothing found and following discussions with HMCG and Police both boats stood down and returned to station.
