Fishing vessel taking on water

Request from Aberdeen Coastguard to assist 12m fishing vessel taking on water after a collision with a surface object 10mile east of Fife Ness.
 
With three crew on board the casualty, a Windfarm vessel in the vicinity was tasked to make way to the scene and Rescue 151 was also on route.
 
With the ALB alongside three crew were transferred with portable salvage pumps, the casualty was stabilised and then under its own power was closely escorted by the ALB back to Anstruther, were it was safely berthed awaiting repair.

Boy stuck on rock

ILB

Request from Coastguard to assist boy stranded on a rock and cut off by the tide, West of St Monans Harbour.

ILB launched and quickly on scene, one crew member climbed onto the rock to locate and help the casualty.

Wearing a survivor's lifejacket, the casualty was assisted into the ILB and returned safely at St Monan's Harbour to awaiting Coastguard and family.

ILB returned to Anstruther and rehoused. Coastguard notified ready for Service after lifeboat and station sanitised.

Response to report of paddleboarder in distress

ALB & ILB

Request from Coastguard to respond following reports of a paddleboarder in difficulty off the coast of Kinsbarns. Both boats lauched, whilst enroute a member of the UK Coastguard Ground Team on the scene checked the sighting and assessed it to be a false alarm, with good intent, and no further assistance was required.

Our Lifeboats stood down and returned home to Anstruther and following a deep clean, was returned back to service.

Assistance to Creel boat- DNL

Request from Coastguard to assist 6m creel boat being rowed back to shore after outboard engine failure.
Fishing crew making very slow progress and in need of assistance.
ILB stood down just before launching on report that the casualty vessel had safely made Cellardyke harbour.
