RNLI Anstruther's shop is the leading fund-raising retail outlet in Scotland. It is so popular with visitors it will remain open throughout the winter. It is hoped that it will enable the enthusiastic team of volunteers to exceed last year's record profits for the RNLI. The Lloyds Foundation has committed to funding the RNLI’s Crew Emergency Procedures course for a second 5-year period until December 2020. Their total support for RNLI crew training to just over £2.46M since 2008. More than 3,000 RNLI volunteer crew members have now received the training thanks to Lloyd’s Register Foundation’s funding.
Fish and chips and entertainment. A charity event organised by RNLI Anstruther volunteers raised over £2000 for the RNLI.
Click/tap on any picture to enlarge it The 10th Fife (First Cupar) Scout group under Isobel Bonnes presented a cheque for £125 to the Treasurer, David Thomson, plus an amount in cash on 5th September.
The money raised, following visits to the Lifeboat Station, resulted from a water relay at Cupar wetlands during a hot June day when they all became very wet.
